Go to Tandy Leather and get NeatLac. This is the liquid sealant used to seal leather after it has been tooled and dyed. Once you have re-sealed the leather on the steering wheel, use a car cover to keep the sun off the car (and leather interior) whenever possible. An alternative to shoe polish is clear, kitchen floor chemical like No-Wax. We tried as a substitute for spit shining the black combat boots. MightyKC98 wrote: > I have a 99 9-3.
