I have the same car, V6 5spd. It was doing the same thing as yours, last year, then suddenly stopped. It happened again a month ago, but hasn't returned. As I had a serious oil leak through the valve covers, it may have made contact with certain electrical components as it spilled out. It is a frustrating thing when it happens, especially when the mechanic has the car for three days, and it runs fine. Good luck.
