Yes, unless you update your car with a lower temp thermostat, which is
recommended by most knowledgeable SAAB-o-philes.

The electric fan doesn't kick in until the temperature of the coolant in the
radiator is high.  You won't see this unless you are not moving since the
airflow thru the radiator will cool it.

The ZF auto tranny is much maligned, but it isn't really all that bad.  I
have 2 9000's, both automatics (a 92 and a 93) and neither has given me any
grief.  Just do the fluid maintenance on them as required.
