Subject: Re: 93 900S Brake noise

Its possible that the mechanic didn't adjust the pads properly after installing them. Sounds like the pad is binding, and not releasing properly. Check the amount of wear. Go to the Townsend Imports site, and look up replacing rear brakes. Good description of the necessary adjustments. Also do a Google search on this group on rear brakes - its discussed often. There is also an adjuster under the rear seat. It could also be a caliper that is sticking, or brake cables that have seized, but most likely a 'not' adjusted caliper. Seems unreasonable for the garage to want to be paid to correct their mistake..... if that's what it turns out to be.
