It had been badly neglected, so the first 2 years of ownership were fairly expensive, but now it's sorted out and has been reliable and fun. Plus, I've learned how to do a lot of small stuff, and that has been a savings as well. If that 140K is acccurate, and your wife loves it, I'd grab it. My car has over 295K on the original block, and about 200K on the 2nd (used) 5-spd. This is the tranny you want, the autos from that era weren't durable and are expensive to replace. The car is fairly easy to work on, there are just a few weird things. One area to look at is the wiring harness in the engine compartment. No one seems to know where Saab was buying their wiring that year, but the insulation tends to crack and flake away as it gets older. Buy the Bentley manual, join the Turbo mailing list and get ready to be impressed.
