I'd posted earlier when I was trying to decide between the 1995 and the 1997 9000 CS. Went with the 1995 and paid cash. Only problem is I'm in Knoxville, TN, and the Saab is in Nashville. I went over in a rental car today (alternator on my car died Friday which is why I got the rental originally) to test drive the 1995 and it was lovely. All the servicing (even oil changes) had been done at the dealer by a very, very picky owner who even paid to have the bolts on the license plate tightened and the batteries replaced in the remotes by the dealer. They let me look through the stack of service records on it and it looks like the major stuff has been done. The DI Ignition Discharge Module and Ignition Cassette were replaced at 65,000. It has 79,000 miles on it and has had it's 75,000 mile service. Had planned to drop the rental car and bring the Saab home until I found out that Enterprise charges a $250 drop off fee! So I'm going to take the airport shuttle over tomorrow ($29) and the salesman will come pick me up and take me to the dealership and my car. There is a Saab dealership in Knoxville, but only have very new used cars for sale. Since I bought the 1995, if anyone wants a nice 1997 beige (Citrine) 9000CS with everything except automatic transmission (leather, sunroof, all the buttons and electronic stuff), it's still there. Has 69,000 on it and they're asking $8,750 and will probably deal a bit. They also offer financing. It's at Thoroughbred Motorcars in Nashville. Very pleasant dealership. Sell Audi, Saab, Jaguars and Porsche. I've been searching the web for a good Saab for several weeks. If anyone wants leads to under-$10,000 Saabs in the Southeast, e-mail me.
