Subject: Re: Engine longevity question

The old 8 valve 4 cylinder could easily go 300,000 miles. It did not have much power, but it would run for a long time. I sold my Saab with the 8 valve engine with 220,000 miles and I can only guess how many miles it has now. When I sold the Saab, which I regret now, it did not burn any oil - with 220,000 miles!
