The orange LED on black SID is failing... the alphanumerics are illegible; the display looks like gibberish. The failure has been gradual; I first noticed it as a missing vertical line about six months ago. The car has about 61,xxx miles on it. Local Saab mechanics have told me they've seen this problem before; it is not uncommon. I am angry that in order to replace the LED display, I also need to replace the SID-- about $550 for the part alone.
