Subject: 88 9000 turbo shifter probs



i am looking at maybe getting a 88 9000 turbo with shifter probs engine runs
great but it seems to be stuck in 4th or 5th and there does not seem to be a
shifting pattern

oh yeah  the guy wants 250 for the car :)
is it worth it?  and anyone got a idea of what may be wrong ?
