If you want traction get the Subaru. No FWD has the traction of AWD. I don't know why Saabs have this mythical reputation for great snow traction; they're no better or worse than any other FWD. I just got Greendiamondtire.com tires. Excellent traction, low price, a good all around tire. If you want fun that's a different story. Why not consider a 9000 CSE turbo? Roomier, plusher, quieter, more reliable, similar mpg & performance. My 93 9000CSET 169k, 5-spd has been rock solid so far.
