Subject: 1992 9000 CS Carlsson - Gear ratios ?



Hi,

Can anyone help me with any idea of the engine RPM against MPH for a 1992
9000 CS Carlsson in 5th Gear.

I think the gear box in the car is the wrong one although the the casing
checks out against part numbers.
Currently it is doing 4500 RPM at 100 MPH, this would indicate that the
maximum speed at 6000 RPM would be 133 MPH.
I believe that 6000 RPM is quoted as the Max safe engine speed, this does
not match the 146 MPH that is quoted as the Top speed of the vehicle.

Any thoughts
