There is no doubt that the LPT increases the efficiency of the engine. The normal consumption for this size of car is around 25mpg, but a 9000 can easily average 30mpg. The worst consumption I had was when I drove 3 miles to work every day, the consumption (mileage) plummeted to 28mpg. The figures of 40-45 mpg were obtained by careful motorway driving around 60mph, but over distances of 30 miles to work. Super unleaded 98 may also play a part. Why only 60mph? drivers on M25 will know. But I find it quite relaxing. Johannes
