Hi Pascal, I have been struggling to find out how I can read my ECU fault codes. I have a '97 Saab 900S 2.3NA Talladega with a Bosch Motronic Part Number M10.2.3. It' is ODB II compliant as the car was not destined to the North American market. (I'm in New Zealand). Tonight I have just found out how to get the CEL to flash the codes. What I had to do in addition of momentary grounding pin 6 of the diagnostic plug for ‡ to 4 secs after the ignition had been switched on II found the following to work. I had a LED in series with a 4.7K ohm resistor and connected this to pins 16 (12Vdc) and pin 7 (K Lead) expecting to see flash codes on the LED. However I got code 12 from the flashing of the CEL. I then found the following information on my WIS CD. With the ignition switch in the Drive position, the voltage applied to ECU pin 55 (Diagnostic plug Pin 7) is about 8 V and Batt+ when the ISAT is connected. The voltage applied to ECU pin 13 (Diagnostic plug pin 6) is zero (0 V), regardless of whether the ignition is ON or OFF (the ISAT grounds pin 13 when the L lead is used to activate system functions). So tomorrow I reckon that all I have to do is apply 12Vdc from the Diagnostic plug Pin 16 to Diagnostic plug Pin 7 and to be on the safe side through a 4.7K ohm resistor.
