Did you invest every penny in the safest car you > could get? That's two distinct and seperate questions. "Did I invest every penny" (that I have)? No. though many people even invest many pennies they don't have (take out car loans), I chose to invest *some* of the pennies I already do have. Other pennies I saved for other things. "...in the safest car I could get?" Actually, yes, for the money I was spending. I found the SAAB 9000 to be safest car I could get within the price range I was able to spend on it. > Did you buy the safest earth-quake proof house you could get? > Did you spend enough money on air-tight anti-burglar measures and > camera's? Did you get the most expensive health insurance? Well, I chose to live in a part of the world which is relatively safe (New Hampshire). We have many earthquakes, but only the kind that are barely perceptible, never any actual damage. We have very little crime, I guess the winters are too cold for the criminals. I do not see any correlation between Health Insurance cost and safety. That is strictly an economic decision. The quality of medical care is not related to who the payer is. > Is (perceived) safety worth everything and the only criterium when > you're spending your money? No, not at all. Nor did I ever insinuate that. However, if I were faced with the decision of whether to buy a SAAB or a Honda Civic (and I actually was at one time for one of my daughters) I would say the relative safety between those two cars is of paramount significance. SAABs are well known for protecting their occupants in collisions, not to mention having the power and handling to avoid them in the first place. OTOH, I would not drive a Honda Civic in traffic if the car were free and I was getting paid by the mile. > Sorry for the rant, but 'How much is your health worth?' is a really > overused and disgusting marketing slogan. You should be sorry. I am not in marketing, and I'm not attempting to sell you, or anyone else, anything. Your reply was rude, baseless and wasn't even very well thought out. I hope you can come up with something a bit more intelligent to contribute if you will be hanging around here in the future. > > X. > Nice name. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
