Subject: Hesitation or Backfire 93-900 0CSE

I have a 1993 9000 CSE auto 124K I am experiencing some light to moderate backfire at moderate <60 to idle speeds when the car is warmed up. Runs fine initally and progressively gets worse. No visible exhaust problems (smoke). There is a fine crack in the DI base which I sealed and glued, new plugs, .39 gap, new dielectric grease. Am I looking at a new DI, or are there other probable causes before I go that route?
