>Hey - I peaked around your site and saw you did a stint at speedvision - >what the heck happened over there? I used to really dig the coverage of big >diesel racing and the (sometimes PBS quality) documentaries on historic >racing and marquees.. I never really worked for Speedvision -- the cable station. I wrote for the website for Speedvision. When I started, Sporting News had the contract to do it. Then it went to Racer magazine and they didn't do much dirt. The Speed channel has been revamping a lot of things. They still have some dirt track racing on "Dirty Thursday" and are tape-delay broadcasting some of the Xtreme Racing series shows (the series formerly known as Hav-A-Tampa/UDTRA). Mike Swims, who owned the series for years, sold it in January to Doug Bland, a former track promoter/NASCAR PR type. He's doing some great things with it. Xtreme now does internet radio broadcasts of most of their races. I really enjoy those. web design, print design, photography
