Subject: boot release mechanism



Hi,
re: Saab 900se 1997 convertible

Within the cabin, drivers side door there is a button which when pressed
releases the boot.  This seems to have stopped responding completely now,
functioning on/off for the last 6 months or so.

Is it an easy/cheap part to gain access too and or replace? Can it be
serviced/fixed easily?

your thoughts and questions pls.
