Exactly. That's they way I feel about it. I have no need to be connected to an umbilical cord all day long. It's just really not that important that I be in constant communication with the world. You'd think these folks are going to die if they aren't constantly reachable and don't answer every call immediately. It's like having "call waiting" on your phone - heaven forbid someone should get a busy signal, I might miss a call... Oh my God, I might miss a call, I MIGHT MISS A CALL, *I* *MIGHT* *MISS* *A* *CALL* !!!!! I think cell phone addicts need to get a grip. Unless you're a doctor a National Security Advisor, or a real estate broker, let it go. If you have kids, give them the number (and vise versa) but no one else. I can't believe how many idiots I see talking to themselves on a hands free set while they shop at K-Mart, or people chatting about home and business while they're at Disneyworld, or just chattering with friends and family _all day long_ with that cell phone "freedom". >I really feel sometimes like an anachronism - I really price myself in >my inability to be reached. I have never had a pager, nor would ever >want one. Me too. Life it just too short. The messages will be there when you get back. So, you might miss a call and your life might not function with the perfect efficiency that you could have if you knew everything about everyone all the time. So what. Relax. Move on. You'll live longer and the world will still be revolving when you die. I do respect the cell phone companies for making the masses _think_ that they need to be constantly in touch with everyone all day long. It's even funnier to watch them create commercials that try to justify "text messaging" when you have a voice device right there. Bob
