Subject: Heater Control



I have a 2000 SAAB 9 3
The heater control knob broke off some time ago. The shaft behind the knob
that turns to re-dirct the airflow.has frozen.
The local SAAB dealer tells me this is a major job to take out and replace
tthe unit. I think they are trying to rip me off, again.
Does anyone have any experience with this and/or can give me some advise.
