I know I have a ground problem somewhere to the oil pressure Saab accessory gauge. The needle jumps straight to the end of gauge and remains there. I've replaced red wire from the sender to the gauge (no difference), but can't follow the ground wire from the sender to the frame. It's only just occurred to me that I might have a more general ground problem. My voltmeter gauge indicates almost 14 when firing up from cold and any heavy battery use, such as fan, lights and stereo all together can drain it to just above 12. It does return to about 14 after a further mile or two there after. What else would I notice if I had a bad ground? I sometimes get static shocks when leaving the car which I've never had before. Could this cause the cold start injector to run constantly? My garage mumbled something about changing the alternator bushes next time the car is in - could this be part of the problem? Perhaps I'm getting a weak spark until the alternator settles down after first crank, or am I way off the mark here? Paul
