While at a red light I was rear-ended in my '87 9000 & because I was not belted in my head (at my left temple) hit the steering wheel so I had a concussion. I did not suffer any whiplash so my neck is OK but I did suffer brainlash (apparently coined by author Gail Denton Ph.D. in her book 'Brainlash') so I'm still recovering from the trauma of the concussion. The accident lawyers are already starting to send me letters. Can anyone could give me some tips on picking an attorney I'd be greatly appreciative. Needless to say I am now a confirmed seat-belt user (when I was growing up no one wore belts so it was a hard discipline to adhere to for me) but I always did learn the hard way. Thankfully I got a second chance because if the steering wheel hadn't have been padded (thank you Saab designers) I would have been in much worse condition. I can't imagine taking a harder hit than that one so if any of you don't where your seat-belts then I implore you to do so because in a split second it could all be over. One minute your life is fine & the next thing you know your life is turned upside-down. You must wear it at all times even if you're just going a down to the store. My accident happened within a 1/2 mile of my house. You should also insist that anyone riding in your vehicle wears a belt or they don't ride with you. Mark
