This will of course be one of the last C900's (1993 was the last MY for them), and as such, are few on the 2nd-hand market, at least in Sweden. Very much appreciated car. Much easier to work on than the 1994 900 . . . Answers to similar questions have been given in this NG the past 2-3 months so if you go through e.g. the Google group archive you'll find them. Unless the car's been grossly neglected, basic issues such as rust should not be a problem, though some can accumulate at the lower door seals and also in the frame just under the driveshafts. Check clutch, brakes (for even wear on all pads), wheel ball joints, CV joints, and maintenance diary in general. $1000 for such a car could be a very good deal, if it's only the starter motor that's on the fritz. But then the fact that the owner would rather sell it than fix the starter does give an indication of how he approaches car maintenance issues in general. He should, however, be able to give you an honest run-down of problems encountered - for this kind of money he's not exactly out to make a huge profit . . . /Robert
