I have a 1985 900 turbo, and the warning signs are beginning - the recon turbo I had fitted 3 yrs ago just went again, so we're replacing replaced parts now. I'm considering that while I have a window of opportunity with a fully working car - once the turbo is fitted - I should sell it. I like the 900s, and I might get another, but my eye is roving. If I like a Saab, what else might be good in a much newer vintage - say late 90s. I want low maintenance, reasonable cost parts and a solid body shell that will withstand impacts (I've been concertina'd in the fast lane - bad memory). We're all Saab lovers, but there may be a next best option. What would you do in my shoes for a low cost low maintenance but solid car?
