It's not unheard of, but it's the $600 that most worries me - pads are around 30 (US$45), and they take all of 30 minutes to replace. That makes for an hourly rate of $550 for half an hour, or $1100 per hour. Now I realise prices are different in the US, but if one can really make $1100 per hour replacing brake pads, I'm on my way over - can I stay with one of you guys while I find a place to live? -- Grunff
