Now he has seen one he has gotten over his Skoda Stigma (but the price he paid may have helped). He got a 3 year old TDi Octi for £2500, becuase in those 3 years it had done 180k miles as a taxi. he has service history upto 130k. At idle the car sounds a little dieselish. Not too bad, and very quiet. Once moving it is very refined, even at those miles. Once moving quickly you wouldn't know it was a diesel. he is also a biker used to 600cc plus sports bikes, and hasn't noticed any real adverse performance problems going for a vw based TDi -- The poster formerly known as Skodapilot. http://www.bouncing-czechs.com
