According to the service manager this is a relatively common problem with this transmission (common enough that Saab sells a fix-it kit for just this problem). The selector fork is out of wack or something, cause unknown. Makes me very glad that I bought the Wynns extended warrenty when I got the car (purchased it used), so I don't have to pay for anything (of course I would have gone insane if they tried to charge me!).
