Is a defective rod > selector easy to repair? Most likely the rubber coupler which couples the rod coming out of the shifter housing to the rod going to the gearbox. Look down by the bulkhead (firewall), battery side of the engine, and you'll see it. Common for it to fail. Alternatively it could be your engine mounts have failed in a severe way. -- Grunff
