My car was left at a lonely outpost near my place of work .Visions of vandalism and broken wing mirrors disturbed my sleep. On Friday ,the DI Cassette arrived and I replaced the unit in the lonely car park with a pliers to loosen the four screws . My pride and joy (once more) started on the first turn of the key and has done so all weekend since . I have saved myself a couple of hundred euro on the part and the same again on labour--- all thanks to the collective knowledge of the contributors to this newsgroup, take a bow ladies and gents. The old cassette packed in after c20k miles but I did have the incorrect plugs in for three months.I wont make that mistake again .. The DI cassette has a warning on its under side "use only resistor sparkplugs" so make sure to use the NGK type as recommended in the manual 9000CS injection engine NGK BCPR 6ES 9000CS turbo engine NGK BCPR 7ES Its nice to have a motor tale with a happy ending.
