Hoses checked for leaks (none). My money is on a leak - you didn't mention whether they checked the dump valve (turbo bypass valve, plastic thingy). This is a very common source of trouble. To check, locate the valve, follow the small tube to where it joins other tubes, disconnect it at that end, and suck on it.
