Ok, assuming that there is an exact similarity between the 2000 my 9-5 and 1998, then the following is what I understand to be true. 1) microphone (high or low level, doesn't matter) must be connected to the phone, either through bluetooth or directly. 2) audio output from the phone (or bluetooth) must be connected to the audio line inputs in the harness. If you have some test equipment, I'd put a signal on the bluetooth output (and disconnect the bluetooth), hitting the level control to the audio system to connect the internal audio system to the signal generator. 3) I'd also check the bluetooth audio to the system, and make sure that when receiving a call there is an output. 4) there is a telephone default volume, you might want to check that. 5) I'd also check to see that there is an audio output to the bluetooth interface and thence to the phone. I'm assuming that you have some test equipment, a scope, voltmeter, signal generator... that kind of thing. That's what I'd do.. the bluetooth unit is talking to the phone, but it may only get a status signal, on hook or not.. there might be something else you need to do, I'm not sure. I'd ignore it unless you have a need for a wire going back there... and the right front is the best place to put a telephone antenna according to the dealer. >Any bright ideas? The phone will use its own system, and the transceiver will use the internal telephone wiring. I'll have to make a vox control for the speaker/microphone output to get the telephone circuitry to operate, unless I decide to just have a switch to mute the radio and patch the rig in.
