Subject: Update on 900S turn signal problem

It turns out the ICE (Integrated Central Electronics) module was partially fried. The failure may not have had anything to do with the trailer wiring. Replacing it with a good used unit also restored my cruise control, which had quit working 6 months ago. ----------------- (original post below)------------------------- My Saab's turn signals stopped working today while I was working on trailer wiring. I should clarify that I've trailered with this car for years but had to replace the trailer's tail lights and, during this tinkering process, the fuse for the turn signals blew. I disconnected the trailer plug and replaced the fuse -- still no turn signals (or flashers, for that matter). There is a slight clicking sound coming from the dashboard, fainter and a bit faster than the normal turn signal or flasher sound, but no lights on the panel or the turn signals themselves; nor is any failure message displayed. The fuse and bulbs are all OK. The trailer wiring has a solid-state converter box that I suspected may have been damaged, but removing it from the circuit did not restore my turn signals. Short of taking it to the Saab dealer to troubleshoot the [expensive sounding] ICE unit, I don't know what to do next. Mike Yankee (Address is munged to thwart spammers.
