Subject: Steering drift in 97 900S

Hi, When I bought my 97 900S at the start of the year I noticed the straight-ahead position of the steering wheel was a little off-centre. A wheel alignment fixed that, but I'm sure it still feels looser when turning the wheel to the right than to the left, and if I hold the wheel loosely while coming to a stop it wants to move to the right. Is this a sign of something bad? The front tyres are getting towards the end of their life, and I don't know if that's a factor (it looks like the alignment had been left out for a while -- wear is uneven) and the left-front has a different tread pattern to the others.
