I had a Mazda hatchback that ate rear tires until I finally got it aligned correctly. If you're running a softer performance tire, it will go particularly fast, especially if not kept properly inflated. How often did you have an alignment done? Was one done after each procedure you list? Should have been. I just replaced the front tires on my 9000CS for the same reason you did -- the cords were showing. The tires were on the car when I bought it used last May. It was badly out of alignment. I had new tires put on and the car aligned. Really improved the handling. The tire store where I had this done offered unlimited alignments for a year at the cost of two alignments which I went for. I figured if it's free, I'll use it. There are plenty of pot holes around here to knock it out of alignment. lauraknopsamousergraphics.com http://www.madmousergraphics.com web design, print design, photography
