Prise off the clip holding the plastic triangle piece inside the door and that will reveal two screws which hold the mirror assembly into place. Remove the screws, and carefully seperate the assembly from the door taking care not to damage the gasket (as getting new gaskets for rear-view side mirrors at a reasonable price is very difficult!). Draw out some of the wiring harness to the mirror assembly and that will reveal the 4-pin plug and socket connection. Hold the assembly by supporting it between the body of the car and the edge of the door and you can disconnect the wiring. To install a replacement mirror assembly just reverse the process. >2. I guess the fact my car has an 8-valve non-ECU'd engine means it's more prevalent to tappet and valve related noises, but it doesn't seem to affect things too much. I change the fluids regularly since that's a lot cheaper than major engine overhauls. 8-) Eventually the engine will need a big overhaul, unless I obtain a slightly newer and/or better condition C900 in the meantime.
