Only brain stem dead - still showing voltage on a ventilator. Found a nice site: http://uuhome.de/william.darden/ where http://uuhome.de/william.darden/carfaq16.htm talks "6. HOW CAN I REVIVE A SULFATED BATTERY?" This seems the sort of stuff that is useful to know (so I wonder): a) it would be interesting to try and desulfate the one I have (assuming thats the problem); and b) for what ever battry we have - which is left a long time - whats the best way to keep it healthy for long periods of inactivity. > >> current one is Varta 562 14 >> article number: 562 014 042 3100 >> product line: PKW Standard >> voltage: 12 >> Battery Capacity: 62Ah >> Cold Cranking Current: 420 >> length 266 >> width 162 >> height 209 >> hold down (?) Was in Halfords today: they had a "HB0712" £54.99, 590 CCAmps, 130 RCM, and a "HCB013" £??.?? 550 CCAmps, 105 RCM Their book didnt have an entry for my car but these two were close. So the 071 must be close, but I missed it. The local car store said £59.90 for a 650 CCA. > > >> Its gonna take a while (for me) to get this right I think. > > I really hope not ;-) I'm interested, as well as desperate, so it takes me longer - doh. thanks tom
