It's a control box that seems to handle loads of little timing and power control functions for all sorts of things like indicator flashing, intermittent wipe, fog lights and, of course, the various interior light delays. I've no idea how much it costs but I bet it isn't cheap. There's no reason why it should be broken - it's just the worst-case scenario. I suppose the simplest test would be to check for +12V on pin 70 and pin 24. If it's there on pin 24 but not on pin 70, then the DICE unit has that output turned off for some reason. A Saab dealer should be able to read the fault codes to see what the DICE unit thinks is wrong - maybe just a short to ground on the blue/green wire or something. Colin.
