Subject: 9-5 (2.3l) alt belt?

My '99 9-5 (2.3l LPT) is misbehaving this evening. Symptoms seem to indicate it's the belt that drives the water pump, steering pump, and alternator - this based on the fact that I lost power steering, my temp went up, and my lights got dim (and battery light came on). Luckily this happened about 2 miles from home so I took it gentle, ran it to get up hills & turned it off to coast, and watched the temp gauge which stayed mid-way up or lower. Took a while to get home that way though, lots of cooling-off stops. I've never done that belt on this car before, any words of wisdom would be more than welcomed at this point. I assume it's on the right-side of the car, on that end of the engine rather than on the transmission end, but I can't see a thing with that big brace in the way. This could be interesting. Is this an above-the-car thing, or do I need to work from underneath with the ramps? I'm going to google around but any pointers would be most welcome. Thanks, Dave Hinz
