Subject: C900 Steering Column Movement?

Hello again I picked up my new 93 model c900 T16S Aero today. All seems very fine except... As I was arriving home, I noticed that there is some in-out movement of the steering column, probably 1/4 to 1/2 inch - I have to tug a little on the wheel and it slides in and out. It's definitely the column, not a loose steering wheel bolt, as I've taken off the panel under the dash and felt the column move. The car steers absolutely fine, but I called the vendor (a Saab specialist) - he said not to worry, likely to be a little wear on the collapsible cage, and it's often seen on c900s. What do you folks out there think? Should I worry? The car's under warranty, so I do have a comeback if there is a problem. Thanks again for your help. -- brad
