There is no "standard" for automotive stereo wiring. Each auto and stereo manufacturer uses their own design or even designs. There are adapters available for a large range of autos and stereos, however. Your local store (such as Best Buy) may have them, otherwise, I've been happy with adapters purchased from Crutchfield in the past, though I haven't seem them advertis the adapters seperate from stereo purchases lately. Custom Wiring: unless you're planning on scrapping the car after you're done with it, and never selling it to anyone else, or you're actually accomplished with electronics, I would beg of you to not do this. I once had to rewire an 85 900S after someone had attempted a "custom stereo and security installation." The number of bad cuts, unlabeled connections, shorts to ground from unprotected junctions, and cross-connections was ridiculous. The fuse and bulbs would blow if the driver had the brake on and used the turn signal. And that was just the first problem. lycka till! GTr
