I'm not sure I understand your wording above in terms of whether you are referring to the manual's description or your own operation. Here's the stock operation in the USA: Car running: - parking (ft & rr) and headlights are on at all times - headlight switch in parking light postion: same as above - headlight switch in headlight position: same as above Car off: - headlight switch in parking light postion:parking lights with a low wattage bulb in the headlights giving a slight glow. Lights will NOT shut off after an hour. - headlight switch in headlight position: all lights on, the lights will power off after an hour to save the battery. - - ------------ Many of us light to control our own lights. So, we have the dealer re-program the switch to act "normally". That is: Re-programmed car running: - lights are normally off - headlight switch in parking light portion: parking lights only with low glow bulbs in headlights on. - headlight switch in headlight light portion: all lights on. Re-programmed car off: - Same as stock car off. I also had the foglights reprogrammed so that I could turn them on and off independent of the headlight switch or high beam selection. - - -------------- Based on what you've indicated, I think your car has been reprogrammed. They only way to get the DRL's back is to have the dealer redo the programming. Be sure to specify exactly what you are looking for and let them know how you want the fogs to work too. If you are having other service done, some dealers will throw the labor in, others will charge you for the work. Bob
