SRS light is for the airbag on the steering wheel. Fixed offending light by removing same. If the computer has locked in a fault by removing power with the ignition switch on, the airbag will still work properly. If the flexible thingy that attaches the airbag to the computer guts is bad, I guess the airbag won't go off. If one of the collision sensors is faulty, I have no idea what happens. If you must have the airbag working, it will take about a 100 US$ for the part and an anxious half hour or so to change the connection thing, airbags being lethally explosive you know. You will still have to go the SAAB dealer and pay some factory trained hose head the best part of 200 US$ to reset the SRS computer after waiting around about half a day. Should you feel fiscally adventurous and take the car to the dealer you will be treated to an estimate of some obscene amount. Or you can "fix" the problem simply. suffering indentured servitude in ne ohio dave
