Subject: Cruise-control module

In 97 900S V6, CC has failed, and I believe (on no real evidence) that the chip has probably died. Is there some way I can confirm this, or is it a foregone conclusion. (the fuse is OK) The TCS chip has been dead for a while already, and I am suspicious of the values being reported for fuel consumption, as they are not only higher than experienced earlier in the car's life, but nowhere like as responsive as they once were...I mean it's now rare to actually observe a change, whereas once you could watch the consumption climb as the road climbed a hill. Last question; if it is a module, are these easily changed for a half-dextrous type of DIY'r? Cheers Bill brulenospamon.net.au
