Subject: Saab 900 Turbo Heater/AC fan problem

Hi all, I have a wierd problem with my saab... the Automatic Climate Control (ACC) System fan will work on High most of the time when I start the car. If I lower the fan speed it will quickly stop working and the fan will start making a chirping noise. The chirping noise will quicken and slow as I adjust the speed. The weird part is, when I shut the car off and turn on the ignition the fan works correctly on all settings. I took the glove box off and can see the fan through the fresh/recycle air opening. The fan when chirping is still spinning but very slowly. My electrical engeniring friend said that the fan speed might be controled by "pulses" and it's not getting the right current or something. Does anyone know how the fan is controlled or what is the problem with this? Does anyone know if there is a wiring diagram somewhere on the internet or a good resource to find info? These may not be related but the fresh/recycle air flap does not seem to work and the automatic seat adjustments work only intermitently. Thanks in advance for any help, Rob
