I'm not sure exactly what combination you desire. Tell us what you want exactly and it will help. If you are expecting the headlights to have some "half power setting", they don't. Some manufacturers put a transformer in the line so that the headlights run on half power. Saab does not. However, the headlights do have a low 10 watt glow when the parking lights (only) are on. In most US Saabs, the Daytime Running Lights (DRL) are always on when the car is running and you can't drive with parking lights on. That is, the DRL is the same as "headlights on". You can't drive with parking lights (only) on. The fogs are generally chained to be on only with the regular headlights on. Many of us have the switch reprogrammed (dealer does it) to allow us to run with parking lights on if we want. Since the headlights have a nice low glow, that works well. We also have the fogs reprogrammed so that we can run with the fogs on with any combination. So, I can choose whatever I want. > >Where I live, running lights are a legal requirement in newer cars. >Using the fog lights might be an answer. Do they draw less than the >headlights? I think your car has already been reprogrammed in some way. I can turn the fogs on anytime I want and they shut off when the car shuts off. The parking lights can be left on indefinitely with my setup... that may or may not be a good thing :-) >Malcolm Mason > >MWM1removenospamedu
