The fuel pump on my UK spec 1993 3 door 900 (classic shape) has failed. Which is a pest, especially as it was 20 minutes before my daughter's music exam! This is not wholly unsuprising as the pump has been quite noisy in operation for the last year or so. What was surprising was it worked when I parked the car, a week later it doesn't. Before I decide how to approach the problem a couple of questions. Based on the age of the car it'll be the later rotor type pump. How difficult is it for the home mechanic [1] to change it? Any tips or tricks? Workarounds for the special tools? UK readers, best supplier of a /cheap/ replacement pump?
