If they are not able to rebuild the alternator, you can buy one at
www.eeuroparts.com for $180. Saab dealer is rarely the best place to buy
parts for aging cars.

And no, I have no connections to Europarts other than that I have purchased
a part of two from them, and always got good stuff.
