Subject: Re: 9000 - central locking blowing fuses

Most probably one of the actuators starts to fail causing the fuse to blow. They do last long, but not forever especially if the mechanism starts to drag i.e. needs oil/vaseline. Problem here is to find the actuator that starts to fail - sooner or later it just stops working. Wiggling locks on-and-off might give out sign of the failing door. Also one could first try operating the lock buttons manually and check if one of them is more stiff than others. In this case general lubrication and wiggling the lock on-off might help (but you need to take liner off). In front doors one could measure the resistance of the motor by disconnecting door harness connector. But now I don't remember how to access rear actuators without taking the liner off (same applies to trunk). Also you need electrical diagrams etc. for measurement and If I may I could assume you are not very familiar with electricity/-tronics. ;-) BTW,,, almost any after market actuator fits there, but you need to crimp electrical connectors. Originals at least in older models are Kiekert. The last choice is to replace the fuse with higher amp - this could help, but it could also cause some problems... Hope this helps for the beginning,,, SuoTimo _________________________________ TMack wrote: > > The central locking on my 9000CDE has just started to blow fuses.
