Subject: Re: Shift Up Light

Personally I pretty much ignore the light except for highway speeds when I forget to get out of 4th. Yes, it does seem like it needs something, but I have a regular 900S (1998) -meld Paul Merriman wrote: > What controls the idiot light on my dash that tells me to "shift up" > (manual transmission on 900se turbo)? > Is it simply engine rpm or something else? > If I shift up when it says to, the car knocks and pings and loses power. > Might it need adjustment of some kind? > Paul
