Talk about your strange things. I have a 2002 Saab 9-3 SE and have started experiencing the following. Sometimes after the car has been sitting over night, when I start the car, there is No power to the radio. You can't turn the radio on and the Little LED light next to the volumn knob will not light up. If you then drive the car, park it and leave it alone for about an hour one of two things will happen. 1. Either the next time you start the car, everything is fine and you can play the radio OR 2. You return to the car to find that the radio has turned itself on and is playing. ( NO KEY in the Ignition ) The automatic turning on of the radio is the most troubling because I know it's only a matter of time before I find my battery dead. Here's what I have done to try to fix this: - Replaced the fuses to both the radio and radio Diagnostic - Pulled the head unit and verified that no power is getting to the radio (IE The problem does not seem to be in the head unit) - One time when I pulled the Diagnostic fuse and put it back in the radio started automatically (again no key in the ignition) I remember one time reading in a forum somewhere that this behavior can happen if you start the car before you get the Check OK message on the SID. I have been waiting for the message and still the problem occurs. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
