Subject: Re: CD player for Saab

In article <10qn5c1r0j0gaacnospam.supernews.com>, dimanospamystems.com says... > My C900 has an aftermarket MP3/CD player that first started playing on one > speaker only, and then stopped altogether. I removed it, and the connection > in there is a rats nest, > First thought. Are they the original papercone speakers? I know about Ratsnest cabling (and almost all of it was factory). When I pulled the Clarion R/C from my old 900, it did not use the Saab audio connector, just basic wire conections, so I had to hard wire in an ISO connector. When I fitted a lowish powered modern headunit, it lasted about 3 weeks (at not excessive voume or bass) before the original factory speakers started distorting. Didn't keep them in enough to let them blow, but I wonder if the higher power of the modern headunit has blow the old speakers? -- "Sorry Sir, the meatballs are Orf" The poster formerly known as Skodapilot. http://www.bouncing-czechs.com
